The Canadian Beef Industry Conference (CBIC) welcomes coverage from agricultural, business and mainstream media. We value the role journalists and industry publications play in sharing the research, innovation and conversations shaping Canada’s beef industry.
CBIC is a professional conference designed for learning, collaboration and networking among registered delegates. News coverage is welcomed while ensuring a fair and consistent experience for all conference participants.
Conference Registration
- Conference registration supports the delivery of CBIC, including educational programming, networking opportunities, venue costs, meals, refreshments and other services provided throughout the event.
- For this reason, individuals attending CBIC, including members of the media, are required to register as conference delegates and pay the applicable registration fee.
- Agricultural trade publications, freelance journalists, podcasters, photographers, videographers and content creators attending the conference as participants are required to purchase a conference registration.
- Community Delegate registration includes access to conference sessions, the trade show, networking events and all meals and refreshments included with the selected registration package.
News Coverage Passes
- CBIC recognizes that certain keynote presentations, announcements or industry developments may be of interest to the broader public.
- A limited number of complimentary **News Coverage Passes** may be issued, at the sole discretion of the organizing committee, to accredited news organizations covering a specific newsworthy event.
- * Must be requested and approved in advance.
* Provide access only to approved locations and time periods.
* Do not include meals, receptions, networking events or other delegate benefits.
* May not be transferred to another individual.
* May be revoked if used for purposes other than approved news coverage.
Photography, Filming & Interviews
- Media are welcome to photograph, film and conduct interviews in public conference spaces, provided these activities do not interfere with conference programming or the attendee experience.
To respect speakers, exhibitors and delegates:
* Interviews should be conducted only on the tradeshow floor in the designated space. Interviews are not to be inside session rooms or in the public hall spaces at RBC Convention Centre.
* Photography and filming should remain unobtrusive and not block attendees from viewing presenters.
* Some sessions may prohibit photography, audio recording or video recording.
* Presenters may request that proprietary information, unpublished research or selected presentation materials not be photographed, recorded or reproduced.
Speakers
Presentation materials, slides, photographs, videos and other content remain the intellectual property of the presenter unless otherwise indicated.
Media and attendees are expected to respect any restrictions communicated by the presenter or CBIC regarding photography, recording or reproduction of presentation materials.
Media Interview Requests
Media seeking interviews with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors or conference leadership are encouraged to contact the CBIC organizing team in advance. Advance coordination helps ensure interview opportunities can be accommodated without disrupting conference programming.
